Even the overall impact of Anthropic's involvement on the chance of the governor's signature is unclear (in particular, its strong opposition made some other EA-aligned organizations less willing to spend resources to support the bill). The internal impression of Anthropic ending up overall cautiously supporting the bill is misleading.
